LONDON.' barrel marked at the breech-end 'FOR WESTLEY RICHARDS NO.2 MUSKET CARTRIDGE.', block and dove-tailed bead fore-sight, small elevating ladder rear sight with four further folding leaves and auxiliary standing notch, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 1/2 choke, slab-sided receiver with large side safety on the right, engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON.' and 'PATENT', border and acanthus scroll engraving, 14in. semi-pistolgrip stock including iron buttplate with trap-door containing a pull-through, weight 6lb. 12oz.
